Guest guest
I've always had pain in my calf muscles and cramping. Taking the Potassium helped with the cramping and I still take it every day. Have the pain and fatigue in my calf muscles surprised my doctors since it's only suppose to be in the proximal muscles but as we all know, they don't know everything about this disease. My calf's were also tight feeling yet no actual swelling. Enough to drive me crazy an at the time I was unable to bend enough to really rub them. At night I would try to raise my legs up so the blood would rush out of my calfs....that would make them feel a little better until I had to put them down. The flatulence is the Prednisone! Ya gotta love it....NOT! I bought Gas-X at Wal-Mart and took it when ever my tummy got that hard feeling... Worked like a charm. By the way, if your Rheumy is far away, ask your GP for Celebrex... I read where you can't take Vioxx and I'm not sure what else you can take. Ooops, almost forgot.... If you've already had signs of a goiter then you need to have your neck checked out. Your GP can tell you if it's a goiter or not. Mine looked like it but turned out it was not. ~ Vicki ~
