Guest guest
Venizia - I know you've been around for a while and certainly know your own symptoms but exactly what are the symptoms? Have you tried different brands of HC? Maybe it's the fillers that cause you trouble. Maybe the symptoms are not true cushings symptoms??? If you adrenals made enough cortisol on their own you wouldn't have problems with it, right? Look at it that way. Maybe if you listed your actual specific symptoms Val would be better able to recommend. Just brainstorming. What should I do. Please don't tell me I need HC. I cannot handle it. I get cushing like symptoms. I bloat up something terrible. Since taking the T3 I have lost the 12# from last summer. The T3 does seem to help with the weight. What can I do for weak adrenals? Guest guest
Sorry, what are adaptogens? I cannot take isocort. Someone told me it has echineacia (sp?) in it. I have a ragweed allergy and it is in the ragweed family? Also, I just took my temp at 4 an hour after the 97.9 and it is now 98.0. I am still using that darn digital therm. because i still have not gotten the mercury free glass one I ordered. These temps issues couldn't be from the thermometer, huh? I know I am grasping at straws here. Guest guest
Yes, echi is from the ragweed family so that is out.Digital therm are not good. Wait till you get the regular one. Guest guest
Venezia, I agree with Birdy. My temps were doing the same thing with that digital thermometer. I could take it and it would be 97.6 and then take it again in thrity minutes and it would be 98.6. That's another reason why I asked about the thermometer because it just didn't seem accurate. Wait until you get your new thermometer. My temps are right on target now that I have my new therm. I take some adrenal aides on top on my HC but I will wait until Val anwers you to see what she recommends. Sorry, what are adaptogens? I cannot take isocort. Guest guest
Geez, a lot of your responses went into my spam file.. sorry.. I have some shakiness with my hands and if I stand for awhile in my legs but that could have been from fatigue from not sleeping the night before. A couple of nights this past week I either had trouble getting to sleep or I woke up at 3am. Now last night I slept fine. I also have sweating going on. I only tried one kind of HC and that was compounded. I do not know what was in it. I am so afraid of HC. My reactions were not pretty. I gave my symptoms to Val yesterday or the day before not sure which. Guest guest
I hope Val will correct me but those don't sound like cushings symptoms. Those sound like low cortisol. Compounded HC, I don't think works well for anyone. I think that stuff is time released which doesn't help our situation. Also, don't forget but less is not more in the HC world. You may have lowered your ACTH enough to stop making any cortisol on your own but less than you would normally make. This is a big mistake lots of people make. Cushings symptoms - high BP, easy bruising, weight gain, round face and stomach, stretch marks. Did you have any of that? What did Val say about your symptoms? Did she think they were cushings. Geez, a lot of your responses went into my spam file.. sorry.. Guest guest
I did have high blood pressure, weight gain, round face and stomach swelling in legs, arms, face. I had acth test done by an endo last year sometime, I do not remember when right now and according to him it was normal, he said I did not have adrenal issues. Guest guest
I also take compounded HC. I was also taking compounded SRT3. Val has stated many times that the SRT3 was not as potent as Cytomel and I continued to have problems until I finally switched to cytomel about three weeks ago. I had tried to take the regular HC and it seemed to be too much for me so what I finally did after experimenting is just increasing my SRHC and everything seems to be fine at present. I figured if the compounded T3 was weak that maybe the compounded HC was weak. It suppose it's worth a try. Presently I am on 25mg of compounded SRHC and it seems to be enough. When I was having problems I was only taking 20mg. Geez, a lot of your responses went into my spam file.. sorry..
