Next steps and getting the tests done

I am new to the list and trying to continue with the diet while

somehow managing to get all the samples for the many tests my DAN! MD

has ordered. My 5-year-old with PDD has been CF since late April --

first results were stunning (total potty control and better speech

within days) and then slipping on the potty issue once we went GF a

month later. Still his focus has improved adn we are determined to

get his digestive system in order. I have three questions:

1. The diet appears to be doing some good but I have had no luck in

introducing new and healthier foods. We are simply relying on the

GF/CF food he used to eat, which means white grape juice, rice cakes,

bananas, chips, and red pasta sauce with meat added. Loose bowels

are still there and totally unpredictable. Looks like he's feeding

yeast but have to get a sample before we can test. What happens if I

take away the sugar right now?

2. Once the samples are taken and the tests sent away, my MD

recommended trying SerenAide. It seems worthwhile but I would like

to get some feedback - the few comments I have seen here don't

constitute a ringing endorsement but it's so heartening to see

something that's actually designed to help a leaky gut.

3. I fear getting some of these samples will be impossible given his

erratic bowels and on-again-off-again potty training. It will be

pretty interesting just to see him go off of juice for the required

time. . .even as I write this I know I will just have to pull the

baanans and juice to get a decent sample, but I'd like to know what

might happen when I take away this last group of foods.

This list is most helpful to me though I am feeling a little

overwhelmed with all of the new information. Any and all advice

welcome. Thanks.
