Guest guest
I'm curious about this too. Sam has wet the bed in the past when we did Epsom salt baths. And where is a good place to purchase this? Chrystee Sam > Who here has or is using MSM? For what ailments, specifically? What improvements did you see, and how long after starting? How did it compare to using topical treatments, such as Epsom salt cream? What bad effects did you see? > > Thanks so much! Considering it for Luke's allergies and PST (phenol/salicyalte problems) but leaning toward sticking with the cream. Too many supplements upset the boat for him, typically. \
Guest guest
> I've heard that MSM can cause yeast. This is positively, by far, the MOST frustrating, infuriating process I have ever been through - trying to help Luke with his various issues. Nothing is the final answer, though SCD is by far the best thing going, and in time may take care of all these other various things, I hope/pray. But I can't help him with one issue without exacerbating another problem!!!!!!!!!!! Drives me downright certifiable, to tell you the truth. Now I'll go out on the back deck and scream nice and loud, then I'll feel better. Thanks for the response, though!!!!!!!! I'm sticking with the cream, was my gut instinct anyhow. in NC, USA mom to Luke, 5, Asperger's/low-salicylate/currently fighting awful spring allergies; , 3;,22 mos; SCD going since 1/26/
Guest guest
Hi , I know how you feel and I have to laugh because I just added more confusion to your brain by my previous post. All you can do is try one thing at a time and gauge how he reacts to it. If you never try something, you will never know if it would help in the long run. That's why we are trying the SCD even though no one has really said it is the definitive cure, and it is not, it just helps one of the issues our kids have, the yeast/bacteria issue. Read what I sent and keep it in the back of your mind for future reference and maybe a piece of the puzzle to solve your son's issues. Take care and keep plugging along. Yep, that one pretty much blew my already bogged down brain. My theory right now is that if I can just get him digesting his food properly and keep that " even " and right, then he will get what he needs from his food and other things will gradually improve without the need for tons of supplements. But I could change my view on that tomorrow. Whew.... in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/low-salicylate; , age 3; and , 21 mos All SCD since 1/26/

You've got to pick and choose based on what you see in front of you (son's behavior)and all the potential treatments that are out there. It all takes time, phew, just when I want the cure NOW!!! You are doing great!!! Take care, Becky in Chesapeake, VA with 10 yr old on SCD 10 to 11 weeks
