Guest guest
Betsy, Thank you for the prayers. I wanted to donate to my son also, but I was a 3 out of 6 match. His brother was 6 out of 6. Let's hope the final cross matching is that strong also. Lynne Re: Transplant Date Lynne, Wonderful news!! Guest guest
Lynne, I was a 4/6 match for my son and the only one in the immediate family with the right blood type, so we thought 4 out of 6 was very good. How wonderful to have a perfect match! Good luck to all - Betsy > Betsy, > Thank you for the prayers. I wanted to donate to my son also, but I was a 3 > out of 6 match. His brother was 6 out of 6. Guest guest
Dear Lynne, Where in North Carolina are you going to have your transplant? I live just south of Charlotte in South Carolina. Good luck on all of the testing. If the donor had an ingrown toenail they will test that. What I am saying is that when my donor was being tested, we would think that we were OK, then the docs would say that one thing or another didn't look exactly right and they would test them for a problem there. The big testing day can be a really roller coaster day. Hello All, We have a date! Brent and Matt will be admitted this Monday at 9:00 for the pre-transplant work.
