Guest guest
That's great news Penny. I'm jealous! Kenzie sounds like such a good eater! You are doing a great job..............were you able to go on that trip and have some time for you? Congrats on the good news............. Kathy in NC Abby, ASD, UC SCD for 7 weeks today! finally a Kenzie success story > Most of you know of all the problems I have had with this diet and still do...BUT I just wanted to share some good news. Yesterday I weighed Kenzie for the first time in a long time and he has gained five pounds! Proof positive that something is working. Also tonight he ate a beautiful dinner of two baked chicken breasts (plain), cooked carrots, broccoli, red and green peppers and for dessert, three cashew nut butter cookies. I was thrilled and called two people to tell them about it. His stools still have a long ways to go. I think he's getting too many cashew cookies. His stools are formed but mushy and orange. He still gets too many bananas too. I just don't know what to give for snacks because he still can't handle raw fruit. His teacher said today that I should give him one little tiny piece of pear every day for a while and then build it up until he can tolerate it. > > Anyhow, thank you all for your support and patience. It's so nice to write something positive for once. Now on to the yogurt. I made it again yesterday and it looks better this time so we'll try a half of a teaspoon tomorrow. > > thanks, > Penny > Kenzie ASD > SCD going into 7 months > >

Guest guest
Wow, I never thought I'd hear Kenzie was a great eater. I got him to finally eat an egg this morning using two cookies as bait. The trip was great. I've never done that since my kids were born nine years ago. I had a great time and the best part is I spent less than $100. Yeeha! Yeeha! > >Compared to Abby who only wants meat and fruit! I can't get a veggie in her unless it's hidden. How do you make your cookies? Are they crispy? I haven't had any luck with cookies. Making them or getting her to eat them. It's amazing how getting away can give you a fresh perspective. Abby is my little shadow so when she's in school and I have time to myself it gives me a better attitude. I am going to my mom's for Mother's day and I am already looking forward to two days alone! Happy Easter and keep up all the good work..........................
