HI y'all! We've been SCD legal for 2 months now and my son's yeast

labs came back very high. The DAN doc says no fruit for 3 weeks and

only 1 fruit a day after that plus he's on Nystatin. I'm frustrated

because he says even after all this the yeast can keep coming back!

We are definately hitting a low point in the diet. My son self

limits to only carrots and cucumbers for veggies (will eat others at

dinner time with me hovering and rewarding) but during the day he

just eats carrots and cukes for snacks and he's getting tired of

this and becoming more weepy and wishing more and more to be off the

diet. (we've seen him get much better so that's not going to

happen!) Anyway I serve a variety of the diet but he's self-

limiting. DOes anyone have any ideas for snacks that are sugar-

free?? to send to school?? Owen also has major oral sensory issues

so the food and texture does taste differently to him. But he's also

much better than even 2 months ago. Prior to 2 months he never had

hamburger, steak, pork, or plain chicken! (of course EVERYTHING is

dipped in homemade ketchup, even lettuce) So we've certainly made a

lot of headway but really how many carrots can one kid eat?? His

stool is mushy and very carroty. What do other people eat when they

can't have sugar or fruit?? Please help! Thanks!

Can you give us some more information?

Did you start with the intro diet?

Did you introduce foods slowly?

Are you still peeling, seeding and cooking all of his foods?

(It sounds like you are giving him raw foods.)

Hi,

chicken egg pancakes made small so they are medallian size, bacon strips.

sneaky meatballs with beef, pork, and 2 vegies. Baked on a cookie sheet lined

with parchment paper at 350 for about 20 minutes.

Hope some of this helps,

Blessings,

Can he eat nut flours yet? If so you could make muffins without the

honey (add squash for liquid and a little sweetness, also cinnamon

helps). You could also make crackers, pancakes. You could make

the sneaky pancakes or waffles. Adam eats those for snacks

frequently (almost once a day). Nut yogurt?

Adam eats a lot of cooked carrots too.
