Guest guest
Hi Jody and thanks to others for their suggestions! I did the intro diet with Owen for 4 days. I didn't realize you have to keep cooking the fruits and veggies after that? why? Owen does not have gastrointestinal issues(to my knowledge) but he does have leaky gut syndrome. I hope I gave you enough info for you to answer my question? Thanks! Moreen, Mom to Owen (ASD 7.9yrs)
Guest guest
" Owen does not have gastrointestinal issues(to my knowledge) but he does have leaky gut syndrome. " Moreen, Leaky Gut Syndrome is a HUGE GI issue. Raw fruits and veggies are very hard to digest. If the fruits/veggies make it to the colon intact, then they provide food for the yeast and bacteria. The goal of SCD is to have all of the food digested before it gets to the colon. I don't recall many people being able to successfully introduce raw foods until at least 2-3 months on the diet and many cannot eat them for much longer than that. Guest guest
Moreen, Go back to pecanbread.com to the Food Preparation page. There is a chart to help people come up with ideas of " what to eat next " . As with anything in life, one size does not fit all. But it is a nice chart to look at to see what might be good to introduce next. http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#beyond Jody mom to -5 and -7 SCD 14 months
