Guest guest
Glad things are better. Abby's fever has come down to 100 today and she seems better now. She looks better. Ate some midas gold pancakes and nutbutter and pears for breakfast. I'm not giving up on SCD!!! Kathy Re: OT environmental allergist > Thanks for your post! Guest guest
Hi again! Here's another suggestion: Although your son is not autistic, why don't you go onto the Autism Research Institute website and look up the Defeat Autism Now! healthcare providers in your geographic are? Where I live -- the Boston area -- there are nurses and at least one nutritionist, as well as physicians. The national DAN group is very interested in the SCD as a necessary " supplement " to the gluten free casein free diet they have advocated for years. In fact, I'm pretty sure that Elaine will be speaking at the DAN conference coming up in April in DC. So if you were to see a DAN healthcare provider, s/he may well be able to help you with the diet and Sam's behavioral issues. It's not unusual for a DAN doctor to assist you with a rotation diet; usually a recommended one comes with the results of an ELISA test -- a blood test that checks for 92 food allergies (IgE) and intolerances (IgG). Let me know how things go. Hang in there! Guest guest
l-methionine and carnitine, both amino acids, could also help with the situation. veggie juice of celery and carrot- rich in sodium and potassium selenium to displace the horrors of mercury in utero and in infants, mercury ends up primarily in the liver, kidneys and pituitary glands. the pituitary glands regulate the sodium/potassium levels in the body. once this regulation is disrupted, EVERYTHING else will be compromised. lack of sodium within the system will create allergies, the blood will then carry these allergic substances to the liver causing chronic inflammation. sulphur is needed once the liver is in an inflamed state. also, the pituitary glands regulate the thyroid; so sometimes it's not a thyroid issue, it's a pituitary gland issue
