Guest guest
T3 - 125 (60-181) Free T3 - 4.6 (2.4-4.2) High Free T4 - 1.0 (0.9 - 1.8) TSH - 0.13 (0.35 - 5.50) Low Ferritin - 40 (10 - 291) Have been taking a lot of iron Estradiol - 43 (50 - 240) Estrone - 53 ( < 200) Progesterone - 9.6 (4.1 - 23.7) Testosterone - 75 (20-75) Reverse T3 - 161 (90 - 350) OK I see some conflicts here. First your T3/RT3 ratio is good. Your Ferritin of course, needs to come up higher still adn may be causing symptoms still at this level. Have you had it tested before and that was why you are taking iron? Is it coming up since last testing? BOTH Progesterone and Estradiol are low. It is unusual to have low estradiol with low cortisol and coul dmean you are taking too much HC still. How is your BP? And are you graphing your temps? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Ferritin came down, from 41, despite taking more iron. I now try to get in 2 - 28 mg. pills per day. My bp - the bottom number usually rises, but the top number falls. My temps. are kind of crazy, though I haven't done the three day charting yet. But sometimes I'll take it once and five minutes later it's a different temp. - don't know if that indicates anything. The last few nights (even after reducing my Cytomel from 32.5 mcg. to 25 mcg.) I feel hyper, with racing heart and high temps. It got up to 100.1 last night and right now it's 99.7. I have no clue what is going on! wrote: T3 - 125 (60-181) Free T3 - 4.6 (2.4-4.2) High Free T4 - 1.0 (0.9 - 1.8) TSH - 0.13 (0.35 - 5.50) Low Ferritin - 40 (10 - 291) Have been taking a lot of iron Estradiol - 43 (50 - 240) Estrone - 53 ( < 200) Progesterone - 9.6 (4.1 - 23.7) Testosterone - 75 (20-75) Reverse T3 - 161 (90 - 350) OK I see some conflicts here. Guest guest
Oh my goodness, Val - this is complicated (for me)! So if I am taking 1 grain Westhroid and 30 mcg. Cytomel, do you have a recommendation for a dosing schedule to avoid the problems at night? Here's what I'm doing right now: 7:30 - 7.5 mg. HC; 0.5 mg. Florinef; 1/2 grain W.T.; 12.5 mcg. Cytomel 11:30 - 7.5 mg. HC; 1/2 grain W.T.; 7.5 mcg. Cytomel 3:30 - 5 mg. HC; 5 mcg. Cytomel Bedtime - 2.5 mg. High T3 labs would indicate low cortisol. In other words all the htyroid in your blood gives you afdrenal stress btu without enough cortiosl it is not getting to the cells ot cause true hyperthyroid. Evening the dose out reduces adrenal stress. Hopefully this will help more of the thyroid to get to the cells to actually work rather than sittin g in thew blood causeing bad symptoms. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
I just wonder why every time I've tried to raise to 25 mg. HC (tried it three times now, at varying dosages of thyroid), I have horrendous symptoms. It's such a dramatic change that it's hard to comprehend. The first time I tried it I wasn't taking any thyroid meds., the second time I don't remember for sure but it was less than this last time, which was 1 grain of Westhroid and 32.5 mcg. of Cytomel. Guest guest
I did already go back to that level about a week ago. And what is weird is that this is when the worst jitteriness and high temps at night happened, after that change. So the current HC rhtyhm I'm on in addition to spreading out the thyroid dosages evenly over the day will take care of the ACTH suppression?
