robyn, i found the answer, three glasses of red wine & two

valiums...not taken all at the same time of course as one would not

want to be completely comatose! lol

I didn't think you could mix alcohol and valium???

I just plan on making him drink copious amounts of Jack s before and during the flights. It seemed to help on our last trip - certainly much more than the 6 valium did.

You do have to be really careful with the valium/alcohol combo. I've taken a valium and then had one rum and coke, but my valium are only 2 mgs. It is best to avoid it, but I knew it wouldn't matter if I fell asleep on the way home since I can't drive anyway. Higher doses and/or more alcohol can cause coma though so it is just best avoided.
