Hey Robin,

Remember me? I just got back on the wagon this past Monday. I had recently

reached my all time high of 262. So I beat you by a long shot and that's

not one race I like to be ahead in. It's always seems that I'm breezing

along fine and then suddenly I'm in a carb induced stupor that takes me

weeks/months to find my way out again. If I could just figure out what goes

wrong and why...

I know you always lose quickly on induction so I figure at least 15 pounds

will be gone in 2 weeks and you'll be down to 219. I am losing rather

quickly this time myself. I'm down 11.5 pounds so far. I think that's the

most I've ever lost in 6 days.

I know Terri et all will welcome you back with loving arms because we all

love your sense of humor (and plus you always know the answer to everything!

;-)

Let's see how much you lose in the next 2 weeks.

(Oh yeah--have you been visiting Krispy Kreme again??? They are building

one about 2 miles down the road from me. OH NO!)

When I get to my goal weight and I am thin, I am going to... jump on my

husband's back and get a piggy back ride.

Believe it or not, Stacey, I am burned out on Krispy Kremes. Haven't had any for quite some time and I don't even want any! I don't lose quite as fast as I used to - seems harder, but I am determined again, and that's usually what I need. Let's make ourselves happy and get the round mound of pounds off as quickly as possibly. My success lies mainly in WATER, which is discouraging sometimes.

Many of you may remember Jan - 'Waxwench' from our old cuy days. She and I are having dinner on Thursday night at Red Lobster. I haven't seen her in quite awhile - she moved to Kentucky for awhile. I'm gonna use my gift certificate that night myself - but no rolls for me. Red Lobster is one of my fav low-carb places to eat.

Robin:

I got back in Ketosis Wed, but we went out to eat catfish friday, and I subcomed to the best hushpuppies in the west, so I'm sure it knocked me out. Then yesterday we went to Red Lobster to use my gift cert., and I ate 1 cheese roll.

So back on the wagon I am.

I order the broiled 'Ultimate Feast' (or something like that.) I think it's their most expensive meal, but I love it. Or I get the 'trio', and make all three shrimp scampis or another combination. I always get the tossed with ranch (no croutons) and skip the biscuits and rice or potato. I will usually order the steamed brocolli in it's place, but it's usually not so great, so I order an extra melted butter to dip it in and then it's ok. I never have a problem eating there, and never leave ketosis.

unprepared or stress. Hope you don't mind me asking.

Got married. He loves for me to cook for him and to EAT with him. He's not overweight. He's 6'2" and 195 pounds. He really doesn't mind my cooking low-carb, though - when he does want to add carbs I just fix him a potato or something with it. It's dessert time that's a problem. He does NOT under any circumstances use AS. He likes the real thing, and loves to share. I just told him that I'm not sharing anymore.....:o)

I wish it would happen for me...

If it wasn't for Krispy Kremes, I'd be able to stay away from doughnuts

completely.

Robin and others who have mentioned Marloe . . .

Marloe is currently Web Only/No Mail right now, and I know that she only

periodically is checking in to view messages. If you'd like to correspond

with her off-list, here is her e-mail address . . . marloe@... I

know she'd be thrilled to hear from anyone on the list and her lovely e-mail

responses are such a joy to read.

Now, Robin, about your grandiose bod. You know very well that fat or thin

or anywhere in between, we love you " more'n my luggage " as Claree in Steel

Magnolias would say. So, don't go disappearing any more. We miss you too

much.

Regarding getting those pounds off, I know that you are going to do it.

Remember how many compliments you were getting when you lost the first time

around? When you were throwing darts and all of your friends were amazed at

how well you were doing? Think back and get that feeling back in your

arsenal and use it for motivation.

And if that doesn't do it for you, then come whining to us and we'll either

shower you with love and support (as some on this list are so wonderful at

doing) or kick you in the butt (my own personal specialty).

Either way, we're here for you.

They are the best donuts! They put Dunkin Donuts to shame. When they are

hot, they almost melt in your mouth.

I LOVE Red Lobster. We were going to go there for our anniversary but

don't have time that day so will go a couple of weeks after. I can hardly

wait! Good to see you again, Robin, I was missing you!

The other day I took a piece of deli roast beef, spread mayo on it and

put lettuce on it and folded it, kind of like a taco but with the meat on

the outside, it was great. Works the other way, too, using a lettuce leaf

as the 'shell'

Robin,

So does this mean we can expect YOUR normal 6 pound - first day loss? If only I could do that. I am with you on the water though I am a couple of days behind! LOL

don't you make me come over there and smack you Robin!! ONLY 4 pounds?!?!?

While not up to your usual induction weight loss standards, 4 pounds in one

day is still pretty darn great!!
