Guest guest
, Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Remember, stay in bed and rest! I am so thankful you were able to get some of the Crinone, but if you need anything from here or if there is anything we can do to help, just know that we are here for you! Take care, elle > Hi Everyone, > I wanted to ask all of you to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Some of you may remember that Crinone was pulled from the shelves a few weeks ago, well Monday night I started using a suppository that our pharmacist compounded. For some reason my body is not absorbing it and I started bleeding around 1:00am today. I've been up since then and have an immense headache. While I'm also on the progesterone & oil injections as well as the prometrium capsules, they are both mixed with oil and therefore are 'time released.' The crinone was the only one that went directly into the system. > > has already contacted Merck and Serono (who both make Crinone), we are trying to either get more Crinone or the exact mixture for compounding. Luckily I had one left and used that around 4:00am today, the bleeding has lessened but I'm really worried about what's going to happen by tonight. Apparently my body prefers the base of the Crinone to whatever our pharmacist used for compounding... > > Also, if anyone has any leftover Crinone they would like to sell, please let me know. > > Thanks! > maria
Guest guest
I will be praying that everything is okay w/you and your baby! I used a different kind of suppository that we ordered through Freedom Drug. I wonder if those would work better. You would think by this point your placenta would be taking over and you would not need the progesterone. That really stinks!! I will be thinking of you!! Guest guest
Dear , I am glad the dr and u/s tech have been able to give you some reassurance...I am sure everything will be okay, but I know, if I was bleeding, I would freak out too. I do know of a gal who bled through all 3 of her pg's it was just " normal " for her. Still very scary though. Hang in there. At 12 weeks you are definitely past the most scary part! Guest guest
- I am so glad the baby is fine. Soon you will be in the 2nd trimester, and placenta will take over progesterone production. You are so lucky to have a physician for a husband, and dh's good friend for a doc. I am glad they got you the Crinone you needed. It's really upsetting that a company can pull a drug like that and leave all the women who were using it in a lurch. a > Hi , > Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. > > Our pharmacist has compounded some, but it hasn't worked. Luckily was able to get hold of a large amount of crinone and my doctor gave me some to tie me over for a few days until the rest arrives. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the prayers. I feel very blessed in that the baby is fine. Unfortunately I was bleeding again last night, it was only a few spots, but enough to be upsetting. maria
Guest guest
Hi Pam, Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately not all pharmacists made suppositories properly. And pushing it into myself was probably very irritating to my body (especially with my fingernails, OUCH!). The whole day was just so emotional and difficult. I cried the entire way to the doctor's, all I could think of my trip up when we knew it was an ep. I feel so blessed that the baby is fine! Everyone was very kind and really took a lot to make sure I felt secure and was no longer scared. The u/s tech spent a lot of time showing me all the newly formed areas on the baby and let me watch the baby move for as long as I needed to. I was a bit panicked last night because I bled a little again. keeps reassuring me that the baby is fine. It's just all so scary. maria Re: Prayer request > > > I will be praying that everything is okay w/you and your baby! Guest guest
Thanks Elle! You have been so wonderful and supportive, I don't know what I would have done without you yesterday morning! Luckily we have a large amount of crinone coming in and I received some from the doctor's office yesterday. Now I just want the bleeding to completely stop, I feel like all I'm doing is checking for spotting! I'm just so exhausted! But very happy that the baby's okay! I have been holding on to the u/s photos since receiving them yesterday, they're like my lifeline to the baby. maria Re: Prayer request > , > Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Guest guest
Hi a, Thanks for your well wishes. I am currently 3 days away from the start of the 2nd trimester and can't wait! Yes, I am very fortunate that is a physician and that his close friend is my doctor. Regardless Dr. Check is fabulous, he treats ALL his patients with the same level of care that I am receiving! I really respect that; so often doctors play favortism games, I'm glad to see that he doesn't. He truly cares about his patients and wants everyone to be successful in delivering a healthy baby. He comes in around 11am and works till 2am every night (sometimes later). He insists on being present for every fertilization and does a majority of the assisted hatching and ICSI himself! , from the ep group, will be seeing him in a few weeks. I'm so happy that she choose to drive the distance to use him. According to the reps at Serono and Merck, " the world is falling apart because we pulled Crinone. " I was very fortunate in that someone donated back to my doctor's office; the Crinone actually came in the day before yesterday! I don't know who she was, but I asked the office manager to personally thank her for me. I spoke to my doctor this morning, and the IVF nurse about an hour ago. The results from yesterday's bloodwork came in, the placenta has definitely started taking over and I can push my injections back to 4 days x2. At that time we'll retest, if all if fine, then we'll push back to 5 days! maria Re: Prayer request > - > > I am so glad the baby is fine. Guest guest
Hi Dana, Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully we have a 4 month supply coming in sometime tomorrow. My doctor gave me 9 days worth of Crinone to tie me over until the rest arrives. We were very fortunate in that someone redonated it the day prior! How are you feeling? How's the morning sickness? I have been so worried about you, I'm praying you're able to keep some food down. Has bought out Babies R'Us yet? Just kidding.... maria Re: Prayer request , Oh honey, you got our prayers. Guest guest
, The weekend was great!! The only thing is I have been getting these weird feelings in the pelvic area. I noticed your EDD is a week before mine (my EDD is 12/7/01) and wondered if you had been feeling any discomfort in that area. I think I read Darci had been. For me, it's like my uterus gets kinda hard or something. I can't be sure if it's my uterus or something else. It doesn't really hurt, but is uncomfortable. Maybe it's just me, but I wondered if I was the only one feeling this. Dana 9 weeks 3 days

Guest guest
Lois, Good luck on Tuesday - I hope it's the easier of the 2 surgeries for you. Just for reference, I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy which I had surgery for (slightly similar to what you'll be having - had a Fallopian tube removed, kept the ovary), it was more like the laparotomy. I was in for 3 days and then home, but after a week, I felt much better. Only thing I couldn't do in the 4-6 weeks after was pick up anything over 10 lbs., so maybe the recovery won't be as bad as it sounds. I think the worst part was the anesthesia - that made me feel worse than the surgical incision. Hope it goes smoothly - I'll be thinking about you. Prayer request >Hi All, > >Just to let you know.
