Germaine xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx These are all good questions for your Cardiologist. I do know that most Dr's won't prescribe propafenone to anyone with heart disease because it can cause ventricular fibrilation (not good). Atrial flutter is high rate and steady, I think. Guest guest
Hello, Thanks to and for a nice concise description of flutter and Afib ablations. When it comes down to it though, no matter how many things are in the pro or con column, one still has to make a decision. Since reading everyone's stories for the last couple of months, I have swung back and forth - yes, ablation good, no- ablation not worth it. The success stories buoy me up for it, then the really bad experiences make me want to run for the hills. Any insights? > Germaine - Lately I've been experiencing something similar. Just a short time ago I checked my blood pressure and it showed a heart rate of 152 and regular. Noticed the beeps toward the end were changing, so tried it again. This time, slow and mostly steady with what I hope were a few ectopics. Rate was 67. That's happened twice (that I know of) in the last 2 days. I do not take the med you mentioned. I'm on cardizem and enalapril.
