Guest guest
Depends on how much you take. If you are taking very large amounts it can deplete your calcium and cause heart failure, (one case in Greece - a fellow died from drinking 2 bottles of Milk of Magnesia a day for some time) but a normal pill or two a day I doubt would cause any problems and I think improve calcium utilization in the body. If anyone has any better info on how much magnesium one can safely take on a prolonged basis and how much calcium is needed to prevent calcium depletion from the large doses of magnesium I would like to hear it. Guest guest
Hi: I just started a protocol on higher dose magnesium + some calcium & am trying to put the information together. I hadn't known of this. I also take 600 mg of calcium in the a.m. with my regular a.m. batch of vitamins ... should I be taking more to offset the 800 mg standard I take now of magnesium citrate (and the extra 400 mgs if an a-fib attack starts)? Any ideas where I could research this? Thanks. Toni CA
