Hi ,

Thanks. I try to keep this group as stress free as possible. We do have our

moments, but not like some groups I have belonged to. When I'm looking for a

group for support/encouragement, that is what I want. I don't want someone

putting me down for the way I eat, the way I exercise, etc. If I'm in a group

and that happens, I'm leaving. I don't need more stress in my life,

especially caused by people I don't even know.

We probably have members that have to choose between foods and meds each

month. Telling them they are eating wrong just adds to the stress. Some people

cannot change doctors. Telling them to " find another doctor " isn't helping the

situation. Making suggestions is okay but telling them to make changes when

they have no control only makes things worse.

As long as a person is doing the best they can in controlling bg's, in losing

weight or exercising, that is all that matters. They need the praise as much

or more than someone that doesn't have as much trouble doing these things.

I want the information given in this group to be for everyone. We have some

members that probably get most of their info from groups. Some of them

probably cannot afford to see a doctor on a regular basis. I certainly don't

want

them to get wrong information from this group.

I guess all groups are moderated differently. This group belongs to all the

members, those that post and those that do not. When I get to the point that

I cannot moderate it on a daily basis, it will be closed, (though I plan to

still have this group when I'm 90). I don't believe in doing something

half-way.

hugs

Eunice
