I thought you might want to know that I also live in Manhattan, and have been a part of this community for a while now. I just recently had my 2nd surgery for asherman's, and was finally cured! I am now scar-free, and trying to conceive, so there is hope. My best recommendation is to read everything you can carefully, everyone on this web site is so helpful and informative. I've learned so much here and as we've all figured out it is so important to be your own advocate. Your doctor may be a good one, but may not have that much experience with Ashermans. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the doctors I saw, because I got 3 opinions in NYC, including an A-List doc who I am sure is wonderful, but for personal reasons decided to go with a surgeon who is not on the A-List, but is a well known uterine surgeon at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. It worked for me! Best of luck. Your next step should be to get a HSG to diagnose if what you have is actually Ashermans, in my opinion.
