My Annual Message to the Group Hello Everyone, I'm on Cloud Nine today. As some of you know, 9 years ago this month, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had to take aggressive, mega doses of chemo, followed by 35 days of radiation. I had my annual visit with my radiation oncologist and mammogram today. No problems whatsoever and for that, I thank God. Ladies, if you have not had a mammogram in the past year, today is the day to make an appointment. Do not put it off. There is no excuse for not getting a mammogram. My tumor was found only because of a mammogram. And gentlemen, if you haven't done so, get the PSA test for prostate cancer. I hear complaints about diabetes. I'll admit its not fun to have diabetes, but diabetes can be controlled in most cases. You can't control cancer. Twenty-seven years ago today I married the love of my life. We will be celebrating our anniversary all weekend. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
Eunice - contrats on being a cancer survivor and on your anniversary!!!!! I just went thru a needle breast biopsy which was negative. I wasn't afraid of the diagnosis, but terrified about the procedure. I hope everyone takes care of their medical needs. I had my lab work this morning and am anxious to see what my A1c will be. Next on the medical agenda is a colonoscopy in May. Not fun stuff - but absolutely necessary in my opinion. Again, Congratulations!!!!
