Guest guest
> Some wisdom about pillows was recently passed on to me by a good friend who > has been battling chiari and various surgery, halo etc for well over 20 > years. He claimed the best type of pillow we could use was one filled with > goose down...and White goose down at that. I have to believe that the whole " pillow thing " is a very individual choice....depending on a variety of symptoms. I swore by the white down for several years. ( These are also available at Marshall's/TJ Maxx <g>) While I would ,and have ,gone back to them immediately after surgery..... I was still waking up most mornings with swelling of face/neck. The FIRST night that I used the memory foam, neckroll type, I had almost NO swelling..... It was like a miracle to me....This has continued for over a year now. I think that my best advise would be not to hesitate to try the various pillows and see what works for you. Don't assume that they are all crated equal! <g> All best wishes, Sally R...ACM..Decompression '91..Hydro ..
