Hi ,

I have not had any problems with the Kadian. My Pain Management Dr tried me on

the Fentanyl 25mg patchs which gave me the most relief I have ever had for a few

days then I got very sick and almost died. Those patchs are 80times stronger

than morphine. I was also alergic to the adhesive. I do ok with the Kadian but I

think we may have to up my dose a little cause I am having too much breakthrough

pain. But I have't had any side effects other than constipation.

read the website for Kadian and it seems this medication has a wide variety of

strengths and is more of an extended release type medication which will last

longer. Any side effects?

and I haven't had any weight gain with it. I've actually lost 40lbs in

helped with my weightloss. That and I have this stomach emptying thing

Klonopin 5mg for anxiety when needed and sometimes I still get

sleep. My husband takes Cymbalta and he has not gained any weight and

my oldest daughter takes Zoloft with no weight gain. We are just a

whole family that should own stock in the drug companies. If I had any

money left to invest at the end of the month that is what I would

Do you have any other conditions other than FM? I am betting my doc will be

reluctant to give it to me since it is morphine.

Hi ,

Yes, I have 3 bulging discs in my neck and 2 bulging discs in my low back, I

have calcificatins in both hips but my right is the worst I have of course FM I

have severe migraines, perminant nerve damage in my hands from unsuccessful

carpel tunnel surgery,peripheral neuropathy and osteo arthritis in most every

joint. This all started when I had a complete hystorectomy at the age of 32

because of endometrial cancer. Gritsgrill

I almost died from the fentanyl too. I was on 100mcg for a long time and

was losing weight in the process. As most of us know, usually the smaller

you are the less meds you need… my body didn’t realize that. I was found

unconscious on my living room floor. My brother found me and for about 4

days when I was in ICU and no one knew if I was going to live or die.

We don’t even mention fentanyl to my brother.

Boy, I am sorry to hear of all your additional problems. I had a hysterectomy

at 26, nearly four years ago, and my pain is definitely worsening. I had

endometriosis; I have never heard of endometrial cancer and I work in hospice.

Is it rare?

I had a hysterectomy in 2005 I was 44. The pain was bad I had cysts and the were

bad. but I felt good after. I want to kick some butt but the only thing is I was

on some good drugs I was wond that would happen. it toke alot of power to get me

to stay still. Rox.
