Guest guest
YOU bet!! afib begets afib and Sinus begets sinus. , Ease up on the marathons for a while ( a year or more prob) Remember there is a lot of theory out there that suggests afib is predisposed in many people naturally ... Afib is an opportunist and may wait for a serious illness or usual stress on the body to make a full return and more. So ease up for gods sake. Eat right, walk don't run. Guest guest
Mark: I've had exactly the same experiences. Five weeks after my second ablation, and into moderate physical cardio-monitored exercises, I went into a-flutter. The a-flutter stayed with me for a day and a half and then disappeared. I was mightily displeased. (This followed a three-week post ablation in and out a-flutter/racing heart.) All this, I was told, was in the " normal " range and might mean that my meds should be altered. Then, I've been in NSR for nine days now, and ready to attempt so more " moderate " exercises. I personally think that you and I may have " overdone " the exercising, so I am going to take a more moderate course. I like being in NSR too much to want to jiggle with it. Guest guest
Interesting story Mark. I have atrial flutter and am scheduled to have an ablation in a few weeks. From what my EP has told me the a flutter is eminently more " curable " than the A fib. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Says that the doctors that perform the ablations where i live have been doing about 150 per year for the past 5 years or so which means they've done over 750 of them. My symptoms have literally disappeared while I'm on 25mg of Toprol per day but if I can get rid of the meds that'd be great because I don't want to take beta blockers for the next 50 years (I'm in my 30's). He said that after the ablation I'll just take a baby aspirin a day and that's it. No follow ups except as my symptoms warrant. They have over 90% success rate with the ablations here. Keeping my fingers crossed.. - Ken in Mass > I had a reoccurance of A-fib last night and I was wondering if > someone who has had an ablation procedure can relate. > -Ablation was about two months ago...was diagnosed with A-flutter > after that and then three weeks ago I went into NSR..I thought I was > cured!
