Guest guest Posted May 9, 2004 Report Share Posted May 9, 2004 I have insurance but some of my meds still run $25 to $40 a month (most of them) and since I take 6 different ones that can add up. I am lucky that my doctor keeps me in Lexapro and I've never had to buy it. He also gives me other samples when he has them on hand which helps a lot. Recently he was out of everything except the Lexapro and it cost me about $150 to get my prescriptions refilled. If you don't have insurance, ask your doctor or pharmacist about ways to get drugs free. I know my doctor gave me a form to fill out for my glucophage but I couldn't get it because I have some insurance. It is my understanding that many drug companies have programs for free meds so you might even try calling the drug companies for information. Hope this info helps someone.
