Hi ,

Thanks again for your doc's phone number for a consult. I talked to Dr. Katz

yesterday. He seems like a very caring person.

Unfortunately his interpretation of my records was pretty dismal. I spent most

of last nite alternating between being angry

and crying my eyes out. Sometimes it feels so futile. I want my life back--I

used to be a pretty even keeled person, outgoing and

happy and now I cry at the drop of hat, the emotional roller coaster that this

caused in my life continually seems to be a

downward spiral and I'm sick of it. Sorry for the vent but I'm losing it large.

Anyways, Dr. Katz did say (as did you) that I shouldn't be using Clomid

ever--that it will make the lining worse not better. Why

does my RE think it won't make a difference is very troubling. He also thinks if

I choose the 2nd drug protocol I shouldn't be

on Synarel because it is used for IVF and they shouldn't need to put me in

menopause for IUI. Even before we made it to the

drug protocol he says there is no way I sustain a pregnancy with the current

scarring that is still in the uterus. The

radiologist report that I sent him says the lumen is 90% obliterated and he says

there will be no endometrium available to

sustain life of a fetus. I was blown away. My doc said that everything should be

fine even though there was still A LITTLE

(yeah right) scarring left. He (my doc) did however make this comment when I

had my checkup, he said " you should be fine to

try IUI again but if you do have another miscarriage then I guess will have do

the hysteroscopy again), he was quite casual

about the whole thing and I wanted to punch him--hard. Maybe is cavalier

attitude should have been my first clue to not

believing him since he was the doc who started this whole thing with the D & C.

Who to believe--what do I believe. I swear the

more information I have the more confused I get. Anyways, Dr. Katz's reco is to

get a new doctor and have the surgery again

before I do anything else. This month's treatment costs $1500 and I'm not

blowing it on a no win situation so I'm on the phone

again seeing what I can do.

Well that's my wonderful life--yuck! How about you? How are you and the little

bean doing today. I've never been on bedrest

but I'm sure it's not fun (although it doesn't sound half bad when you're

working and need a holiday, heehee). You two are couple

of fighters and I know you're going to get through this pregnancy A OK. Just

visual the lovely baby you'll be holding in your

arms. I'm pulling for you two. Take good care and rest, rest, rest. Thanks again

for your support and advice.

cheers,

AmyL
