Guest guest
I wanted to lose three pounds this month, but have only proceeded to GAIN two. I'm not complaining (much!), since I've added working with weights and doing abdominal work (pilates); both add muscle. And we all know that muscle weighs more than the ever-unwanted FAT. I know that more muscle increases your metabolism, but tell me that when my pants don't fit the way I'd like. :-( On the upside, my bg readings are getting even better. I've been seeing the range drop to 87-107 for morning, and the postprandials have been excellent, too. Adding an extra cup or two of veggies per meal, and 1/2 cup blueberries or another half grapefruit to my snacks has helped. My bedtime snack is now two plain rice cakes, 1/2 glass skim milk, and 2 oz. of roast or grilled chicken or a grilled (on the ) plain hamburger; it's really helped my morning reading.
