Guest guest
It does get frustrating being told to eat low carb, low cal, low fat and low protein...I follow the eat LOTS of veggies option...use tofu, soy milk and other soy products for my protein...vegetable protein is easier for the body to assimilate than is animal protein. That has been my way of dealing with this complicated situation. It isn't always easy but such is life. BTW, if you want a great visual for keeping track of calories, carbs, fats and protein try out: http://www.fitday.com It is free and a GREAT tool! Guest guest
vegetable protein is easier > for the body to assimilate than is animal protein. > I've never heard this before - I " ll have to do some research. Basically, humans were meant to eat meat, and to not do so leads to a complicated way of living in order to get all the things one needs - not just proteins, but amino acids and other minerals too. Guest guest
Veggies are supposed to be the " quick " food for the body, protein to add the extra. Every body needs to have protein, because if you don't have it, or enough of it, you will become very malnourished. There are many ways to get protein in veggies, beans, and whole grains... It does take longer for the body to digest meat and animal protein. Ever notice that you aren't as hungry after eating meat??
