Guest guest
Dear All, I have lost my update writer, Anita, who had to go back to school so this note will be quite brief. I was re-admitted to hospital yesterday (Thursday) due to concerns over the increasing amount of pain in my abdomen (possible return of the SBP infection?) and my inability to keep anything down -- not even water. The nausea is much better today after some Zofran. They attempted another paracentesis last night to get a sample of my ascitic fluid but were unable to get even a drop (long story) so this morning we are waiting for an ultrasound guided paracentesis. My sodium levels are fine (135) so at least that is no longer an issue. My bilirubin is 14; my INR is 2.3 and my creatinine is 0.8. My MELD would thus be 26 but I am still inactive on the wait list. I am in room 8113. More later. Thanks for your warm wishes and expressions of concern. Love, Shauna ------------------ Think you're an ORGAN DONOR? Guest guest
Shauna, I'm not sure if I should pray that you get better or that you make the transplant listing. All I can do is hope and pray that you get back as close to normal as soon as possible and that you are comfortable. I wonder which way you are praying so that I can add my prayers to yours.I wish you the best of luck and better health in the near future.
