Guest guest Posted June 7, 2001 Report Share Posted June 7, 2001 Hi - A brief history - I had a d & c in June 2000 after a missed abortion at 9 wks. I then did not have a period for 4 months and was put on all the hormone treatments with no success. My obgyn did a lap and hyst to clear scar tissue,in Oct 2000, I had a period of 5 days in Nov 2000 and fell pg unexpectedly (was supposed to be abstaining !!) in Dec 2000. I am not sure how bad the AS was because it is not common (or at least not discussed much) in SA. My obgyn has only seen it twice in 19 yrs of practice - and both of us have gone on to fall pg - so either he's good or lucky ! I was however told by a second opinion obgyn that I would never conceive again. (Nice and sensitive!) I have often thought that perhaps I should send my story to our local women's magazines - and that may prove that it is more common but I have not yet experienced anyone (beside medical profession) who know what it is. In your case - I think the sooner you get on the raod of treatment with someone who you trust - the easier it is.
