There is a lot of stuff in that book that has changed my opinion by 180

degrees from what it once was (I used to think the book, like AA, was

wholly benign and helpful). But I got more information than you can get

just in AA which is a relatively controlled environment informationwise,

and I changed my mind. I think the real peach of the month for me, my

current Big Book fave is that old 12sf favourite, the chapter called " To

Wives " that Bill wrote whilst pretending to be a woman.

What and whose need? Your need to help *yourself* cope with your AA

experience, or the supposed needs of other ppl to benefit from that

experience? To me you are sounding just a little too magnanimous, a bit

like wanting " to give expecting nothing in return " to coin a phrase.

How come you dont seem to want support with your own -ve experience in

AA, that your very first post was just AA apologia? I am cynical to

beware Geeks bearing gifts?

It will be if Ken decides so Mike, in case you forget. However, I am

very glad that you seem to be the first person to realize that I dont

have any power over you here, and the very fact that this is the case

implies that you are wiser than many of the other ppl I have challenged

here.

not necessarily, we are at liberty to change what we say to each other.

Again, you are the first person to say that they will not reply to me,

more evidence that you are more reasonable (I'm not being sarcastic, I

only wish many other ppl would do this who dont like what I say). I am

also glad that you didnt say you wouldnt read what I wrote, merely that

you wouldnt reply to it, which means the window is open for harmonious

communication to occur when that is possible. I hope you will have seen

from previous posts that there is room for agreement, and certainly for

tolerant communication.
