Hey angie- I can

totally relate to the depression about no sugar…chocolate! Oh my!

Anyway,

google up agave sweetener. We bought it at the health food store & we use

it in our coffee & it tastes great. It has a very low glycemic index (11 I

believe). Check it out. We’ve been using it & still losing weight.

carmen-artificial sweeteners

Carmen-Why do you not want to use the sweeteners? Will you be

using honey on this diet or cutting out sweets all together? I had a reaction

tonight to Splenda (ears ringing and feeling dizzy) probably because I had more

than I usually have (stuck inside today due to Hurricane Jeanne passing

through). Anyway, I’m really depressed about this whole sweet situation.

I’ve been slightly down about the thought of spending the rest of my life

without sugar (I know this is ridiculous) but now that I feel that I have to

cut Splenda and other artificial sweeteners out I’m really bummed. I do

use Stevia but I question the safety of this too. Anyway, I’m just

curious about your situation. Thanks, Angie P.S. There’s a cookbook

called Fruit Sweet and Sugar Free that uses fruit concentrates as sweetener.

Thanks, . I went to the health food

store today and bought the agave sweetener. You’re right it does taste

good. I’m so excited. Of course, I won’t abuse it but it’s

nice to have a choice. You made my week. Angie J

That’s

great Angie! It totally makes my diet! Not sure why more people don’t try

it since it tastes great & is natural.
