- spotting and IVF pregnancies

Just wanted to toss in my two cents worth. I have read that spotting

is VERY common in IVF pregnancies (or pregnancies in which stims have

been used) because the drugs " overpump " the uterine response and can

cause excess endometrium to develop even AFTER a successful

implantation and the beginning of a placenta development. This

excess has to " slough-off " somewhere and does so in the form of

spotting. At least that is the hypothesis I have heard....but it

makes intuitive sense doesn't it?

I'm sure this spotting is nothing more than that....we'll look

forward to a nice FAST heartbeat report at your 8 week ultrasound!
