Guest guest
Hi, I am not a doctor, but I read someone elses labs and their doctor's recommendations. By the way, did they not do a free t3? ANyway, your TSH is suppressed (I don't think a need to worry), but your free t4 is very low. Could you or would you consider (with your doctor) adding some synthetic t4 to the Armour mix. Some others on here (including myself, although only 5 days ago) have added a little t4 to their regime. This might be your answer. I suspect you are bleeding from not having the right balance of thryoid meds. This is only my opinion and I hope some others will jump in also. Good luck! (sorry, I don't know much about your other labs). P.S. after my second baby, I went into hypoland. I have super heavy periods now and they have contributed to a low ferritin level (according to my doc). Perhaps that is a test you may want to get in the future. Guest guest
Hi Lynn. First, am I reading correctly that you are on 4 grains of Armour, which would actually be 240 mg.?? I'm not familiar with some of your labs....but I am extremely curious why you would have such a low T4 along with a suppressed TSH. And where is the free T3 test? The latter is SO important. Also Lynn, if you are still having a period, you may be bordering on a very low Ferritin level, which will mimic hypo. Janie I take 250 mg. of Armour a day and he did tell me to continue. I have been taking the raw adrenal glandular twice a day as well. Here's what he circled on the results: > Ref Range > DHEA <15.0 L 35-430 ug/dl > Serotonin 43 L 100- 225 > LD Isoenzymes > LD-4 10.8 H 3.8- 9.4 > LD-5 16.5 H 2.6- 15.0 > > Thyroid Microsomal AB 324.8 H <25-30 IU/mL > Thyroglobulin AB 600.00 H <40-50 IU/mL > > Free T4 0.64 L .71- 2.23 ng/dL > T uptake 1.42 H .66 - 1.27 > TBG 41.7 H 13- 30 ug/mL > TSH <0.01 L 0.4-4.7 uIU/mL
Guest guest
How much synthetic t4 are you adding? Guest guest
That Free T3 was VERY important, running neck 'n neck with the other important one, the Free T4. Your Free T3 is WAY too low. The Frees show what is actually available for use by your body. It doesn't guarantee that the cells are accepting it inside, however. Re: Latest Labs As information, the doctor I saw is Dr. R. H. Poling, DO. He is out of Riverview & Frenchtown Twp., MI. You know, he did do T3 free. It was 2.03. He ran a bunch of other T's, but since they were okay, I didn't list them... Regarding Ferritin, is this a test the doc would do? What do you take to replenish it if you are low? Also, a synthetic T4? Is that like synthroid? Thanks for everything ladies! And gentlemen? LOL...
