1-Dr. dictates a medication as " Albuteron 200 mg p.o. b.i.d. " , NOT " Albuterol " .

It's not on my spellcheck (Stedmans') nor in my new PDR or Monthly Prescribing

Reference. I looked it up on an internet search and found a link to

http://www.ncmahq.org/prodev/stc/stchc0599.html I finally found where it talks

of pump inhibitors, Alpha Blockers, Nifedipine, etc. that the VA was contracting

for. Re: Albuteron:

" Indeed, the recent procurements for Diltiazem and Albuteron were a joint effort

of DOD and VA. It remains to be seen whether this is a continuing trend in

government procurement. "

Now my question is: Has anyone ever heard of it? What is it used for? This is

the ONLY hit I had for Albuteron (on the search engine I used).

2-Dr. dictates a past injection the patient had s/l " betel " injection. I can't

seem to verify spelling.

3-Dr. dictates ACL replacements. I didn't know you could replace an ACL joint, I

thought they were repaired. ?

If I don't reply back to answers, please accept my thanks ahead of time. I am

heading to bed after I finish this one!
