Took my blood pressure, and it was really high, so my girlfriend told me to call the doctor. so! I got in to my new doctor before next tuesday! I am still in a state of shock. she is soooo nice! I'm to go back tomorrow with my blood pressure monitor to see if it is calibrated with theirs, or messed up. I took it again an hour later, and it was down. My girlfriend thinks it was really high (197/170) because of my symptoms - and then it came down. (she's a nurse)- It used to always be low, but lately had been fluctuating a lot. ANYWAY !! BP was down in their office too. I asked about the armour, and she had no problems at all with it. She said she needs to be sure about the blood pressure though as her 1st concern. So if gizmodoesn't read the same as hers, I need to go buy a new monitor. then take it every day until my apt. on tuesday. I'm also going to have an osteoporosis test tues - they're having the free heel exams. ....I get off on these side topics! so... she explained that she has different patients that take their armour different ways -but at least 2X/day. Some 3X. She gave me 30 mg pills and I'm to take on in the morning and One later in the day at any time. She'll do bloodwork in 6-7 weeks. I asked what sort of bloodwork she does - like the FreeT's and she said, oh yes - a complete work up and I often run antibodies tests. She also runs the ferritin test. They took my temp too - and I was 98.6. to me - that means I'm running a temp !! I took it when my BP was up, and it was 96.7. couple hours later it was 'normal' - it was one of those ear gizmos. so - I'm so excited!!! I really do feel like there is hope!! now !! if I could get rid of this headache! the reason I took my blood pressure to begin with was because of the headache and I wanted to try a new pill from the old dr. She told me to absolutely not take them. ...but didnt' tell me what to take! and I forgot to ask her!! If I still have the headache tomorrow, I'll ask when I go in for the blood pressure check. I also forgot to ask her if she wanted me to take the armour sublingally. OH! and I have to go back to my pharmacy tomorrow. they were 21 pills short. She ordered 60 - but they didn't say there was a problem, just to come back tomorrow to get 21 they owe me. oh - and looking at them - I think they are generic.....and it doesn't say forrest - reading the bottle - says qualitest products, inc...ok. I called - the pharmacist said it is armour - he filled it. He doesn't know why it says what it does because he pulled it out of the armour bottle. The picture in the PDR on line is a little different too - so - what part of a grain is 30 mg? The pill has a number 9509 on it and a design above it that could be an A - with imagination! If the doctor put " brand only " , I would say the pharmacist ignored it.
