Hi , yes there are a few of us out there who have had HCC, I was

diagnosed 1 year ago, and am now off my meds, going hypo and waiting

for my 1 year scan. It is a really difficult thing to go through

mentally, but I found out that once you get back on your meds, life

does and can get back to normal. Luckly, my tumor was very small

when it was discovered, but there all ready was some minor vascular

invasion, so yes, I am still worried, but all my labs look good, my

TSH has been well controlled and my thyroglobulin has always been

less than .5 while on meds (it was elevated before surgery). I just

had an MRI on my neck and we will hopefully compare that with my RAI

scan in September and I am hoping that everything will be normal.

Then I will go back to taking my meds on a daily basis and follow-up

in a year. At least that is my plan!!! AS you talk about this, you

will find more and more people who have had some type of thyroid

problem out there. There are many people who have to take these meds

for a variety of reasons. You are being treated at an excellent

medical facility and I am sure you are getting excellent care. Keep

asking questions and know there are others out there like you.
