-Sorry is having a rough time. My daughter Jenna had a real

bad case of cradle cap wjile banded. I used stuff made by orajel.

It in a greenish comtainer. I will dig thru the cabinets to see if

i still have it to see what it was called. It worked great on

getting rid of it. She never had it on her face.

please keep us posted. I hope 's cradle cap clears up real

soon.

Hello

I'm sorry to hear that is having such a hard time adjusting.

I would def call your ortho, and ask if they have had this issue

before and what they did for it. I do agree though in leaving it

off till it gets better, or goes away.

Let us know how he does with the cortisone cream.

Hi , I recall using a little 0.5% hydrocortisone for a prickly

heat type of rash. It resolved itself quickly though and the band

was put back on. My son had persistant cradle cap prior to helmet

therapy and the band actually helped cure it!! I couldn't believe

it. I washed his hair nightly with various mild shampoos but did not

use any other type of cradle cap treatment. That is surprising that

he developed it on his face. Clean the band using 91% isopropyl

alcohol & white paper towels (keeps stink away).

I too would keep the band off until you can see your orthotist for a

check-up and possible adjustment. Some slipping and looseness is

normal in the beginning as long as it doesn't fall below there

eyebrows or hurt their little ears. Please keep us posted.

Thank you for the advice! I called his orthotist this morning and she basically said to just keep using the hydrocortisone cream and gently ease him back into wearing the helmet. I'm hoping it will clear up in a few days and things will contine smoothly!
