Guest guest
Hi , My baby was banded late as well. She had 3 bands in all. She started at almost 11.5 months and graduated at aobut 20.5 months. CT didn't recommend her 3rd band, I wasn't ready to be done at that time. We did the 3rd band when was like 18-19 months...her added correction was awesome!! I say if your on the fence about it, just do it. If you don't do it in the future you're probably going to be second guessing your decision! Let us know what you decide. --- In Plagiocephaly , " " <andcable03@y...> wrote: > > Hi all, > > Aidan has been in his doc band for almost 12 weeks. Guest guest
Thanks . I didn't know you went through so many bands! It's very reassuring to hear of correction at that age, I think we got this first band during a bad time, but who can predict growth? I'm going to call Yale tomorrow for an appt. I'll keep you posted. > > > > Hi all, > > > > Aidan has been in his doc band for almost 12 weeks. He's gotten > good > > correction mostly from the bottom up. Guest guest
, Aidan is so adorable; I just love him! I'm so sorry to hear about his slowed growth. Is there any chance that you could post pics of the areas that still concern you? Have you been taking pics for yourself to see as you go? I am curious but if it's too much trouble that is ok. If you feel really compelled to keep going than I completely support you 100%. Guest guest
We did three bands too and I am very gald we did. Jonah had great correction 1st band at 7 months, but not that much in band #2 at 11 months. He did not have any big grwoth spurts. He went into band #3 at 14 months and graduated at 18 months. He had a grwoth spurt and got some good additional correction. There were mixed opinions at CT as to whether to do the third band, but I really advocated for it and glad that I did. Like I siad, we got additional correction that would not have happened if we did not do it. I was told very adamantly that at that age, there MAY NOT be any correction or very limited, but I was willing to take that risk. Guest guest
Hi , I'm out here . I do think we saw more correction from Hannah's 3rd band than her 2nd, but who knows. In her photos/before and after/DOCband, you can see them all. put together in a collage the before band one/before band 2/after band 2 pics, and then her before and after band #3 are there too. She wore her third band from 15-19 mos and saw some pretty dramatic correction for her age I think. Her growth was slow during that second band. I would definitely urge you go go w/another band if you are still not happy b/c regretting it really stinks! It's a hard decision, but like you said, I also wanted to know that I did all I could. Ask Lynne's opinion as well. We actually went 3 weeks between the first and second bands. Let us know if you get those pics posted also. Oh, and for 2 bands it's only 3 castings, not four . This exit cast from band #1 will be the cast they make band #2 from. Hannah is certainly no worse off from her 4 castings and 1 digitizing, but her head certainly looks better! Let us know what happens, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask! , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma --- In Plagiocephaly , " " <andcable03@y...> wrote: > > Hi all, > > Aidan has been in his doc band for almost 12 weeks.
