Hello everyone!

I just wanted to take a minute to comment on 's Zip 'n Squeeze

products. I had been meaning to do so, but time has gotten the better

of me. For those who are pre-op and have a few weeks before surgery,

I highly recommend 's jaw wrap. It was so comfortable after

surgery. The " wraps " they used at my hospital seemed like a really

heavy pair of saddle bags, loaded up with ice (see post-op pix). Very

uncomfortable, loose and a serious drag. 's jaw wrap has velcro

at the top and fit snugly against my face. Slid the ice packs in and

was good to go. Bring extra ice packs with you to the hospital so you

can rotate them as you use them. I found my face was quite warm and

melted the ice packs fairly quickly, but if you have extra packs to

swap, it won't be a problem. I also suggest that you freeze the packs

BEFORE you go to the hospital. I found the first time to freeze the

packs took the longest. Once they were frozen once, even after they

thawed on my jaw, they refroze much faster the next time around for

some reason.

The zippie bags I only used for a few days as I had more lower lip

control early on and started to use a cup. I took 2 zippies to the

hospital and cleaned/reused them. Had my first meal of Boost in one

and it made it SOOOOO easy. Can't recommend how many folks should

buy, but it is a great alternative to trying to drink from a cup since

you aren't allowed to use a straw right away (at least I wasn't

allowed). You just don't want to be inconvenienced in the hospital

while you're trying to heal, so the bags are a really easy way to get

those fluids in.

Sorry for the length but hope it helps those planning their surgeries.

It took a few weeks for me to get my package from (she uses

UPS, but it takes a while) so plan ahead if you want to purchase her

products. I also thought the price was quite reasonable for these

conveniences.
