Please accept my condolences for your family's recent loss, I'm so

sorry!

How alarming that you think has experienced some

regression! I'm glad you've made an appointment to check into what

may have happened. Did they have the Hanger Insignia scanning at

your Hanger facility? Would you be able to have an official scan to

compare his head with? Or perhaps an exit photo taken at the

orthos? Please let us know what you find out!

I only know what I have read about regression... that is is rare,

occurs in something like 1% of cases, etc. When you say that

you " cheated, " understandably, did he spend a lot of time during the

day in bouncies, swings, carseats, strollers, the same arm for

carrying, playing on back, etc? I do know that our daughter, Remy,

whom we repositioned, certainly got a lot of correction from 5 to 7

months, so I assume she could have also gotten some flattening

during that time period if we did nothing. Her head was still quite

maleable overall. She was not sitting up at that age either, so she

didn't have any natural upright time (we used the walker and held

her to provide that.) Her head also got a lot of bumps popping out

the back during that time frame, which we were very excited about

since that was the beginning of her correction happening. Are

's lumps and bumps symmetrically located?

Have you put the helmet back on him for the daytime, too, until you

can get to the appt? If not, it wouldn't hurt to keep him off of

the flattened area as much as possible with some basic repo

techniques until the appt. if he is currently regressing, to protect

him from any further flattening until you get to the appt.

I hope it isn't. He's still so young and has much growth ahead of
