I'm not familiar with the bonnet you are talking about. However,

it's nice to know that your doctor is at least attentive to the

condition. I know your son is only about 2 1/2 months old. That is

still young. I don't think they band until a child is at least 3-4

months of age.

If after another month the bonnet isn't successful, repositioning

fails and you are still concerned with the plagio, then I would

look into getting a helmet. I am currently going to CT's Durham, NC

location and sadly they are closing at the end of the year. Also,

Hanger Orthotics has 4 locations in the area, but none of their

orthotists are currently trained to treat plagio. Hopefully they

will receive training soon and that will become a local option (It

might be worth a call to see when they will have someone trained).

I don't know where else to go in the area. I would start by calling

your insurance company and asking for a list of Durable Medical

Equipment providers in the area. If you are able to find a local

supplier, please share that info with us. Our options in Raleigh-

Durham are becoming limited.
