We had originally had an x-ray (to rule out craniostenosis), but the

3-D CT scan was the only other test other than him just looking at and

feeling his jaw. The ear fold sounds suspicious to me. I'd definitely

point it out again, along with the assymetry you see. If he has a

lack of soft tissue on this side and his jaw seems flatter or angled

differently, I'd make a point of telling the doc. Sometimes I think

some of them don't really take the time to examine kids as thoroughly

as they should. I hope your doctor is receptive to your concerns and

addresses them. Good luck!

cranisyntosis whcih thankfully he did not have and we then proceeded

with the bands...he is almost 14 months old...how did your doctor come

up with the diagnosis...just through the CT scan or were there any

other tests. I just want to know so that I cover all my bases when I

meet with the plastic surgeon in two weeks. Charlie has a skin fold

on his lobe that this doctor has seen before but made it like it was

nothing and I am just nervous that he won't look at all possiblities

again when I see him. Is there any other things that I should bring

to his attention? I would hope that if this is the second most common

facial defect after cleft lip that he could diagnose it but I just get

scared that once again I am diagnosing something that I would think

only a MD could do...just like the plagio and tort(ha!) Thanks for

your input!!!!
