Guest guest
, I am up to 6 grains now and I dose sublingually 3 times daily. I split my dose and take a 120mg Armour first thing when I get up, a 120mg Armour at before dinner at work (I work 2nd shift, so dinner is about 8 hours after I get up, and a 120mg Armour before bed or when I go to bed. I'm learning I must be fairly resistant since I know this is considered a high dose and I have no signs of hyper and I have been at this dose now for about 5 weeks. When I upped my dosage, I went up a half grain at each dose. That is also what makes me think I must be fairly resistant since that is upping my dose by one and one half grain at a time. I don't plan to up it again unless my symptoms return. I visit my endo in June...should be interesting to see what she thinks about my 6 grains. I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better with Armour. I recall when you joined the list how poorly you were feeling. dosing question Okay guys I'm up to 3 grains of Armour a day and feeling better and better (except I caught some kind of chest cough/cold thing last week), but I still don't think I'm at my optimum level. My question is, those of you who are on more than 3 grains a day, how do you dose? Do you take one grain every three hours over a 12 hour period, do you take more than one grain at a dose time - like 1.5 grain in AM then 1 grain at each dosing period throughout the day, etc. When I'm ready to bump up again, I'm not sure how much to bump (I was thinking a half a grain) or when to place my bump in my day. Thanks guys ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi , I'm up to 3 1/4 grains per day now. I'm waiting to see my lab work, and then depending on what the numbers look like, I may keep increasing. I too am seeing some wonderful improvements overall. I dose three times per day. I take 1 1/4 grains in the morning around 8 a.m. and then I take 1 grain around 2 p.m. and another grain around 7 p.m. (I take all my doses sublingually) This isn't exactly every 4 hours, but rather what works for me schedule-wise. You know, trying to fit it all in around my calcium and other vitamins! Its a challenge sometimes!! Anyway, this seems to work for me. I increase by a 1/4 of a grain now, rather than a half, just because I think I'm getting pretty close to my optimal dose and I don't want to go hyper. I've heard that is not a pleasant experience! Anyway, that is what I'm doing. I'm happy to hear that you are doing well. Keep up the good work!
