start this diet on Wednesday. But I have a question about the vitamins. When

do you take them? Is it right before you eat each meal?Which ones do you

take? I'm a little confused with this vitamin thing?Could you help me out? I

have 40 lbs to lose due to two pregnancies so closr together. Two wonderful

little boys who keep me going all day, which makes me wonder why I have a

Penny and Others--

Penny, Your post made me curious about how one is diagnosed with diabetes.

What are the indicators? (If you don't mind me asking. I apologize if the

question is impertinent.)

The reason I decided to start this woe was because of a high blood sugar

reading on an insurance physical. My doc did the 12-hour fasting test, and

the number still wasn't as low as the numbers in your post. I have gotten

the sense from my doc that prevention isn't high on her list, and she always

asks whether I'm eating a low-fat diet. Life should be interesting in

October when I see her again.

Thanks in advance for the info

Gail

period, thats what my Dr called it, My sugars were great for about 6 months.

then all of a suddan they started going up and he put me on this diet. Since

then I am off all meds and have consistant sugars of 80-110. I only have to

lose 32 more pounds to reach my goal, so your sugar might not come down as

fast as mine, but it will and you will feel wonderful!!

Hi

I'm just getting started with the Protein Power diet and my sister thought it

would help me to access some web sites that might support my effort. There is

so much information so far, it will take me awhile to absorb it but perhaps

it will keep my mind off eating if I work my way through it each day.

Signing off for now

Bev

Hello,

My name is Diane. I tried this way of eating years ago, but stopped

because I got tired of eating meat and vegetables. I would like some ideas of

what to eat. Any and all suggestions welcomed. Besides his book , any

reading material you could suggest?

Thanks, Diane

Hi! My name is Wanda. I am definitly new to the Atkins way of eating. I

just ordered the book and it should be in any day. My plans are to use

this WOE,and walk at least 20 minutes each day. I'd appreciate any

advice you can give me on getting started.

I have just one question? My cholesterol is already high, the doctor

told me to lower my carbs, exercise more and lose some weight. I hear

this will help with the weight but will it increase my cholesterol

count with eating all the proteins? Thank you for your help.

Wanda
