Insurance paid!

I have not posted a message in a very long time, but I had to share

that after a year and a half of fighting and appeals that we won!

Our insurance company, Capital Blue Cross, in Pennsylvania finally

agreed to pay for our sons DOC band that he received in May of

2003. We went through 3 appeals and finally an external appeal

where they spent 4 hours reviewing all of the documents and

information I had submitted. The recommendation was to pay the

claim...wahoo! My advice to anyone fighting the insurance company

is to not give up! I wanted to just quit so many times, but I knew

we were right and just getting the run-around from the insurance

company. I still have copies of my appeals, so if anyone is looking

for information, please feel free to email me at kltolbert@...

This is truly a great day!

Thanks for everyone's support over the past 18 months...we couldn't

have made it without you!

That is wonderful news! Would you mind posting your information in

our insurance database so if another parent has the same insurance

they will know what to expect?

Thanks!

,

I'm so glad that you FINALLY won. That is terrific news. However, I

think it's completely absurd that it took 1 1/2 years.

Congratulations on sticking with it.

Take Care,
