Guest guest
Many children only need one band. It depends on a lot of factors, including growth, age of beginning treatment, parental satisfaction, etc. My son required 2 bands but he did not start treatment until he was 12 months. Don't stress, one band may do a wonderful job for your child. Natasha > My child has a DOC band. Banded just four days ago. SO far, so > good. Has anyones problem been corrected with one band??? Guest guest
Depends on the age of the child and severity of the problem. My daughter wore a DOC for 6 weeks (4.5 to 6 mo) The results were great... we are very borderline about needing a second band. I wasn't going to do one, but now it looks like I might... the remaining asymmetry is pretty small. > My child has a DOC band. Banded just four days ago. SO far, so > good. Guest guest
Hi! I see Natasha already answered your question. I just wanted to point out that we have an informal Poll question in the Polls section of the group about how many bands babies required, and among DOCbanders, the vast majority only had one band. As mentioned, age, severity, complexity of headshape problem, and growth spurts of the baby are all contributing factors, so it can be difficult to know with certainty whether one band will do the job, but it appears that it usually does. Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > My child has a DOC band. Banded just four days ago. SO far, so > good. Has anyones problem been corrected with one band??? Or does > it take multiples?
