This is to report a case of how treatment counseling is helpting PLHAS

I have one case who is now taking ART treatment after the clarity of his queries

related to ART.

Mr. Mohan (Name changed) has detected with HIV before 4 months. That time he was

under stress and willing to suicide. His CD4 count was below 150

After discussion with him, I suggested undergoing ART treatment with the help of

counselor. Unfortunately his status was disclosed by his doctor to his all

relatives. He was so under pressure. He was not willing to live. After

continuously counseling and follow up, he went to hospital and registered his

name for ART. He saw some cases with positive status of HIV. Then he realizes

that he is not only one person with this problem. He got confidence!!!

 

Now his health is so good and regularly taking ART on time. His cd4 count is

also increased.
