Guest guest
Hi everyone. I have a question. We are only allowed 1k per year for DME with our policy. Which we have been allowed for 04'. My question is this... Since my son will still be receiving treatment in 05' are we allowed to ask for that 1k also? You'd think so because he is still receiving treatment, right? But then i can also see how that wouldn't be allowed. We have only paid $1200 towards his band so far (i havn't given CT my 1k check from insurance yet) so it's not as if we paid it all in 04'. Let me know what you think! Mommy to 9 1/2 months, DOC Band 11/17, Brachy/mild tort Ashburn, VA
Guest guest
It will depend on the coding used on your bill. If the code is a code that includes the helmet and all follow ups inclusive then I dont think you can. If they bill is per visit then you can. I think will all orthodic treatments the DME code is a one time code for all visits. I used to be a medical biller but it was 8 years ago and I dont have a up to date coder book to see what the exsplanation is of the code your ortho uses. They should tell you. Guest guest
Hi That is really a good question to ask. If I were you, I'd call 's case worker. See what they say. I'm sure they would have to have something in writting saying yeah, or neah. Let us know what comes out of that, and good luck.
