Guest guest
Anyone take Armour and Synthroid together? If so, how much and has it made a difference?
Guest guest
When I first started on Armour, I had heard of some folks doing that! And even Dommisse likes to see both T3 and T4 near the top of the range. So I asked a lot of questions, and couldn't quite decide to do it. Instead, I simply kept raising my Armour dose until I rid myself of symptoms. My free T4 stays around the middle of the range, and my free T3 right at the top and higher. And now, I am doing so well that I hate to add Synthroid and potentially mess up my great results...you have to slightly decrease your Armour when you add T4. I also corrected other issues along the way....my Ferritin, which has twice been too low and gave me bad symptoms. And...my testosterone--when I raised that, it made a difference in me. How are you doing? How much Armour are you on, and what are the results? Janie > Anyone take Armour and Synthroid together? If so, how much and >has it made a difference? Guest guest
---I am back on Armour (4 grains) after being off of it for almost a year due to pregnancy. On 3 grains I felt wonderful but now, sick all the time. Flu symptoms all the time and bone aches and pains.

Have you been on the 4 grains long enough for the T3 to kick in and the T4 to build up, which can be about 4-5 weeks for the latter? Also, have you had your Ferritin tested? There is such a propensity for low Ferritin in hypo folks--it's really been an eye-opener here!! And a low Ferritin can cause aches and pains, as well... Guest guest
Hello, sorry I didn't get your name, and sorry also that you not feeling so great. May I ask why you stopped taking Armour whilst you were pregnant? I am trying to become pregnant & hoping to continue taking Armour if this ever happens (been trying for 1.5 years, no luck!) How long have you been on 3 grains? If you felt good on 4 previously, maybe you could increase again. let us know how you're doing - the low ferritin thing seems to be something a lot of people on this group are getting aches & pains with. A few of my pals who have had babies all needed iron after too. Best wishes, Fee x x x > ---I am back on Armour (4 grains) after being off of it for almost a > year due to pregnancy.
