Uneven palate gumline

With Lorrain's posts on crossbite and palate expanders I'm wondering

why I have't seen anything on the effect of plagio on the bite

(jaw/palate). Garrett (9 mo's) has not been banded/helmeted...we've

been repositioning. His doc doesn't think his head shape is bad

enough to warrant banding but I am having doubts. Anyway, I pointed

out to him that Garrett has what looked like an uneven palate giving

him a slanted gumline...doc examined and said it was a bulge in the

gums not a palate un-evenness. I suggested to the doc that this

might be a result of his plagio and he told me no, just a bulge in

his gums. Now he's cutting his incisors and his eye tooth on the

bulging side. Because of the bulge/slant it looks like the tooth is

coming in and laying over the gum rather than coming down like a

regular tooth. Hopefully I'm just paranoid and not used to seeing

babys teeth come in but I'm a little worried. We will see doc

Friday for his 9 month exam and I'll ask him about it again. Is

there anything out on the net about what I may be seeing? Is this

related to the plagio maybe?

I myself haven't seen anything about issues with the pallate and gum line with plagio, but a dental surgeon/special needs dentist my older daughter had been seeing from the time she was 19 months old told me plagio could cause misalignment of the jaw and problems with the pallate. I have always been worried about it, and at that time he told me with Tatijana there was nothing to worry about.

I have my doubts now that at Tatijana's dentist appointment the other day her dentist told me she has a very deep bite, not sure what that means. He said for now they just want to keep an eye on it and after her adult teeth come in she may need braces. She also has a gap inbetween her bottom front two teeth, which they weren't too concerned with cause it will help when her adult teeth come in with overcrowding, but they did mention something about a frenectomy.(Not sure what that is either, other than cutting something). Well I guess I now have lots of questions for her dentist and should call him with them.
