I have been off work two months under doctors orders for a swollen abdomen, vomiting and diarhea. So far I gave had all kinds of blood work and tests including CATS (2) different sets, an enzyme injected into my hand and then a blood scan and they still can't find the problem.I don't know what you do for 10 hours a day in steel toed shoes, but I don't know how you do it. I work for a General Contractor and sit in an office. There is a lot of mental stress, but very little physical and I am in extreme pain most of the time. I also have Systemic Lupus, but the pain I believe is Fibro. I also can understand your anxiety about not knowing if you will be able to work. I go through that all the time and I have been with this company almost 10 years. They have assured me I don't know how many times that I will have a job there until I retire and hvae always been so good to me. They gave me a mon th off with pay this time and now that I am on STD, they are still paying my insurance premium (my cost is $120.00 bi-weekly and they pay just for me $ 601.00 a month). I don't know how I got so blessed. If you are in so much pain maybe you should consider trying for your SSD. It sounds like your job is physical and in th elong run you may do more harm than good. If you can't consider it, I can understand that too. We are trying to get in a position to do that, but my husband was hurt on the job 19 years ago and so I am the Breadwinner so to speak. I do know that I am enjoying being home, so much stress removed and being able to rest when you need to (although my bosses bought a recliner so I'd have a place to rest when I need to). I know I am going to dread going back. I think I am going to talk to them about my hours and maybe go in a little later. It just takes so long in the mornings to get started and sleep at night never comes easy.If you need to talk feel free to email me. Either way, keep me posted on how you are.Debbie (FL)__________________________________________________
