Sorry about that. I, at least, don't do soda... mainly because I don't

tolerate artificial sweeteners.

If you can find it, soda sweetened with saccharin is OK. Otherwise, one

per week.

I've seen sodas with honey, but they usually have other

illegals.

I've also seen sodas sweetened with stevia, but I'm wary of them because

too often, sugar alcohols are added to the stevia, and sugar alcohols are

illegal.

No specific brands.

Was there a problem with

saccharin years ago? I thought I remembered something about warnings not

Saccharin got a bad name because it was coming out of patent and would be

available to everyone, as I understand it. So the manufacturer of

aspartame " leaked " studies which showed saccharin was

" unsafe. "

<g> Heck, WATER is unsafe by the standards they used on

saccharin.

Have you tried making root beer? You should be able to get a legal root beer extract and add either splenda or honey with carb water to make it sweet.

I'm sorry, I don't know what diet colas are legal.

I had posted a question a few days back about diet soda and got noresponse. Does anyone know of a diet soda that is legal - any sodafor that matter - I am finding I really miss the fizziness and thecarb water with fruit juice is not quite the same. Sounded like thereis such a soda availability as mentioned in, "Breaking the ViciousCycle," but there was not a brand name. Sounded like one a week wasok - thanks in advance for your help.SCD 3 weeks

I made myself crazy when dd started the diet by looking everywhere for TAB, which was recommended as being the soda that was sweetened only w. saccharin. When I finally found it, it had a ton of illegals in it.

Some people recommend using selzter sweetened w. some fruit juice.

Good luck,

Hi Misty,

You meant saccharine, right? Splenda is illegal.

Yes, Kim thank you for catching that. I don't use anything artificial and I know it's saccharine, guess I got confused in my typing.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!
